ARTIST PROFILE

HALINA

Halina is multi-instrumentalist and music producer Divino Dayacap’s solo recording project since 2014. The rising Baroque-pop virtuoso is a force to be reckoned with in terms of making a mark in the music scene in the Philippines, as the musician’s talent knows no bound; from crafting a world purely his own and to making songs that resonates deeply with the Filipino spirit with a contemporary twist, Dayacap’s Halina has yet to reach its full sonic potential.

As explored in his 2018 release Ukay Tamis and 2019’s Kwarto Waltz, which not only garnered him a cult following, but also cemented the artist as a whimsical world-maker with a mind crazy enough to play bandurya in a 21st century indie love song.

For 2025, the year in which Halina signed to Offshore Music PH, he released the  track Tukso, an enchanting  that unravels complicated and somewhat taboo emotions, all tied up in an addicting ballad that cradles the ears to a sweet side step.

Through Halina, Dayacap explores recurring themes of youth, mortality, relationships, introspection, and nostalgia. He supplements these themes with his fondness for history, classical music, ethnomusicology and mid-century drum grooves and basslines.
