SANSETTE
Formed in 2019, the indie-pop band Sansette has been making a rather “sunny” impression on audiences in the Metro Manila music scene. Consisting of all born-and-raised-in-Cebu members Gabrielle Villacarlos on vocals, Michael Villacarlos on keys, Peter Cambonga on the saxophone, Cris Ong on bass, Jarren Narciso on drums, Adrian Labra and Leonard Cadurnigara on guitars, their music undoubtedly mirrors the nonchalant and serene vibe of their hometown.
Their debut single “Sunburn” was released last 2019 as an ode to a summer fling–an upbeat yet melancholic rendition about realizing that what they have only thrived during the summer’s heat, nothing more, nothing less. Their debut was then followed by a collaboration featuring Ysa Ferráz on a track entitled “Mumble” in 2021, and a couple more singles after that.
